Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?: We are located in downtown Oregon at 143 Washington Street. - MAP.
When do you accept applications for the Fall term?: We begin taking applications in early February. We fill slots on a first come first serve basis. Priority will be given to members of Faith Lutheran and returning students until May 1st.
Are parents required to volunteer time at the preschool?: No. Although we welcome parents at any time.
Do parents provide snacks?: Precious Lambs Preschool provides all snacks. Parents are welcome to provide a snack for their childs birthday.
What if my child is not potty trained?: We feel that potty training is something that demonstrates a child is ready for preschool. While we will certainly never punish a child toileting accidents, basic potty training is a necessity.
Is there homework?: There are no formal evaluations. Occassionally there may be a worksheet, as well as preparation for show and tell. These are used mainly as a way to prepare a student for what will be homework in future education.
Do we need to be a member of the church?: No, but we do encourage you to study the Bible with your children. Even if you do not have a home church, it is important for children to know who Jesus is. Many parents feel that they want their children to make their own choices about religion; but neglecting a childs spiritual education makes that impossible.
Will the children be confused if our home church is a different denomination?: We share basic Biblical Truths. The timeless, changeless morals, values, and ethics of the bible are important in an ever changing world. Jesus' message of love and forgiveness is one all people should understand.
